SWARN ABHARAK:-
Abharak also called as abhraka, gagana,megha, girija, abhrakam,abrakam.
Kautilya the author of arth sastra has mentioned about abhraka.
Giridih variety is considered as best variety of abharak.
It is good for medicinal use.
Abharak is available in various forms but it is mostly found big flakes and sheaths which are attached in the form of cluster.
Abharak bhasama is given in chronic fever, in loss of sight,etc.
The bhasam is cold in potency,sweet in digestion,smooth in quality.
It is usefull in growth of hair,improves longevity,it acts as a rejuvenative.
